Disney4me
We’re already back at Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie!Learn About:Les Halles Boulangerie PatisserieEpcot RestaurantsDisney World RestaurantsAnd why not? With the huge assortment of classic pastries, desserts, soups, sandwiches… let me think, did I miss anything? Oh, right… quiche, salads, baguettes, macarons…. well, you’re gonna need more than a few trips to hit it all! Should you be a wee bit overwhelmed with your choices here (and who could blame you?), we’re here to help. It’s more of the sweet stuff today, and we’re focusing on a classic as well as a dessert with a little twist. The Mousse au Chocolat is our classic.I don’t know if it’s my bias towards all things Les Halles, but the Chocolate Mousse here — both in appearance and flavor — strike me as a bit darker and richer than other mousse desserts I’ve tried.Mouse au ChocolatAs expected, it’s light and creamy, and you can definitely call it “airy,†though it still has a bit of substance to it.Topped off with a sprinkling of crunchy garnish, the mousse scratches that itch for chocolate decadence while still being a bit of a lighter option if you’ve already filled yourself to the brim with a Jambon Beurre. (Shoot. I said it, and now I want one. GREAT.)Mousse au ChocolatLike the idea of giving the Mousse au Chocolat a go yourself? We’ve got the recipe for you!The funny thing about our next selection is the name. Per the menu, this one’s called Chocolat. Seems pretty simple, but there’s a little more to it, since “Chocolat†is a mini-pie filled with caramel cream and topped with some of that same chocolate mousse. Personally? I call it the “chocolat shark.”“Chocolat”The teeny slice of dark chocolate peeking out of it gives it a sharkey little “ooh la-la†factor. And don’t you love the look of that perfect little pie crust?Chocolate and Caramel CreamYou already know about the chocolate mousse, but it’s really the caramel cream that makes this one stand out. To me, it resembles a custard, and the golden, buttery flavor of both the caramel and the crust paired with the mousse give that bite of something sweet with just a hint of salt, all wrapped up in a fun presentation.Chocolate and Caramel CreamIt’s that terrific flavor combo that we love in treats like the Chocolate-covered Sea Salt Caramel at Karamell-Küche, in a lighter texture. And there ya go… that’s two more tucked into that case of about twenty desserts just waiting to tempt you at Les Halles. So remember, as you’re strolling the World Showcase in search of something sweet and wondering if a treat at Les Halles might do the trick, the answer is pretty much always… “Oui!”Want Even More Epcot Snack Details?Let’s face it: snacks are a big deal during your Disney vacation.
