Frozen Summer Fun is back for a second year at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, running June 17 through September 7, 2015. We’re sad to say that Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post did not return this year, so there’s no central location to find all of your Frozen eats; but a few of the featured items did return along with one or two updated treats.

Most of the Frozen Fun activities this year are located on Center Stage (where the hat used to be) and in the theaters located at the end of Hollywood Boulevard.

Let’s take a look at some of the goodies.

Frozen Summer Fun Drinks

Disney has set up tents in front of the theaters offering drinks for both kids and adults. The tents, in blue and white, fit the Frozen theme and feature fun props set up in front!

Three specialty drinks are once again on offer this year, each with a souvenir Glow Cube. Frozen devotees won’t notice any change in the drink offerings from last year’s menu, but we’re gonna try them out anyway!

The Let It Glow is a yummy mix of pineapple juice, grenadine, and ginger ale. It’s refreshing, and offers a good cool-down for these crazy early Summer temperatures.

After jockeying for a spot at the parade, it’s time to kick back with a Summer Berry Margarita, a delicious mix of tequila, triple sec, wild berry liquor, sweet and sour mix, and cranberry juice, all garnished with a lime. This drink is a delicious combination of sweet and sour — and is surprisingly not dry from the cranberry juice. This one was on the strong side but very smooth!

The drink stands are located outside of the Hyperion Theater which is the new home this year for the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. The theater does not welcome drinks and snacks inside so make sure to order your refreshments accordingly!

Next up on our list, the Blue Daydream.

The Blue Daydream is a good mix of citrus vodka, blue curacao, peach schnapps, sweet and sour mix, and pineapple juice topped off with lemon-lime fomz. If you like the taste of a stronger drink this is certainly the choice for you!

Despite being strong it is still very refreshing and the perfect color to match the Frozen decor around the park! The fomz ads an extra kick of sour to the drink.

Olaf Souvenir Cups

Another addition to the Frozen Fun this year are these adorable Olaf Souvenir Cups! (Note — you can also find these all around Disneyland.)

Grab one of these at most quick-service and kiosk stand locations. The Olaf cups hold 16 ounces, which is the average size for a medium drink.

Depending on the location you can get them filled with a soft drink, frozen lemonade, or a blue raspberry milkshake (yup — the repurposed Blue Milk Milkshake from Star Wars Weekends). Not every location offers all 3 options, so make sure you know which drink you want before buying!

Also new this year is Olaf’s Summer Cool Down, a fun show starring everyone’s favorite Summer-loving snowman and featuring music, dancing, and a blast of cold air that cools down the whole audience at the end of the show!

Frozen Sweet Treats

Time to re-energize with some treats! Since there is no Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post this year, you have to find your Frozen themed foods scattered throughout Hollywood Studios. For the best selection of sweet treats head over to Sweet Spells on Sunset Boulevard.

You might be able to spy a cast member putting the finishing touches on the Olaf White Chocolate Covered Apples, one of the most popular Frozen treats!

There is no seating inside Sweet Spells, but luckily it is located right next door to the Starring Rolls Cafe, which offers some shaded outside seating.

Today we’re sampling the Blue and White Brownie Pop and the Olaf Marshmallow!

Frozen Treats

Frozen Treats

These are pretty standard, change-them-up-for-every-theme treats in the Disney World confectionery cases, but we thought this one was particularly pretty. The soft brownie center is coated in blue chocolate with white chocolate accents, then dusted with sparkly sugar.

The Olaf Marshmallow offers a little bit of everything, plus a souvenir to boot. Four soft marshmallows are covered in white chocolate, then accented with chocolate covered candies for buttons, a milk chocolate mouth, licorice hair, and a jelly bean nose. Don’t forget to pocket that souvenir twisty Mickey Mouse Straw – those things are pricey if you buy them separately!

Frozen Themed Cupcakes

Noticeably missing from The Apothecary were the popular Frozen cupcakes but they can now be found in other spots including the newly opened Trolley Car Cafe!

Cupcake flavors you can choose from are the Chocolate Anna, Vanilla Elsa, or the Carrot Cake Olaf.

Of course, Carrot Cake Olaf is our favorite from a taste perspective! He’s delicious!

That’s it from our first visit to Frozen Fun. The heat in the parks this week has been overwhelming, so it was fun to focus on the Frozen for a while! ;-D
