Disney4me
Time to dive back into the DFB Reader Question Mailbag! We love getting questions from you guys about all things Disney food-related. And that’s especially true when it comes time to plan for the Food and Wine Festival. The 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival will run for more than 7 weeks — September 25-November 16, 2015. And one of the biggest draws to the festival are the World Showcase Marketplace Booths that are set up throughout the different countries of World Showcase. (Check out our Booth Page for lots of details about the booths and what you can expect when you visit them.) And be sure to keep checking back — we’re adding new information constantly!Readers send us lots of questions about the booths, especially aboutwhen they are — or are not — open for business. So today, we’ll cover a few of those. After all, the first thing you need to know when planning your Food and Wine Visit is when to go!What Time Do Food and Wine Festival Booths Open Each Day?While the park generally opens at 9:00AM, that opening time mostly pertains to Future World, the front part of the park. World Showcase, where you’ll find pavilions celebrating different countries, doesn’t open until 11:00AM.Epcot Food and Wine Festival Brazil Marketplace BoothThere are a few exceptions. You can walk through World Showcase up to a point, and you can enter Epcot via the International Gateway from the Epcot Resorts. Also, Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie opens at 9:00AM for breakfast.Get to the Booths Early to Avoid LinesBut since World Showcase doesn’t open until 11:00AM, that’s when Marketplace Booths open as well. During very busy times, you may see them roll up the awnings just a tiny bit early. But don’t count on it. If you’re planning, make 11:00AM your go time. Are Food and Wine Booths Open During Extra Magic Hours?Wouldn’t that be awesome? After all, there’s nothing better than having Epcot to yourself for an extra hour or two late at night.Don’t Miss the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup! But unfortunately, the Booths close at normal park closing time. So if you’re at Epcot during a day when there are evening Extra Magic Hours, don’t wait to get in line for your Canadian Cheddar Soup from the Canada Booth, or you just might miss it.But, things can ALWAYS change at Disney, so our fingers are always crossed that this rule will be broken at this year’s festival. Are Food and Wine Booths Open When It’s Raining?Yes, Booths remain open during rain — unless it’s a torrential downpour, hurricane-forecasted kinda rain. In that instance, they may close temporarily. But hey! This is Florida, where it pours for 20 minutes, and then the sun comes back.Rainy Day at EpcotTake in an attraction or do a little shopping. That Booth you’re waiting to enjoy will be open again before you know it.Want More Details About the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival? We are always working to bring you all of the latest and most important news and updates on the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival right here, so stay tuned for details and check out all of the info below!Be sure to join our Disney Food Blog Newsletter for the latest information and details.
