Review: Chili and Cheese Foot Long Hot Dog at Min & Bill’s Dockside Diner

Recommended Posts

Min & Bill’s Dockside Diner is a quick-service lunch and dinner spot at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

For those on the Disney Dining Plan they have plenty of Quick-Service Meal and Snack options to choose from, including that yummy pulled pork mac and cheese, but today is all about the Foot Long Hot Dog!

Min and Bill’s Dockside Diner is located off of Hollywood Boulevard on Echo Lake. There is no inside seating but there are outdoor tables with umbrellas.

Since the diner itself is…well…a ship, there is seating along the water as well. Throughout the small area you will find themed nautical elements that may, being Hollywood Studios, remind you of a few of your favorite films.

This spot, known for unique seasonal milkshakes and an ever-changing menu of pretty interesting eats, recently introduced a foot-long hot dog to the list — complete with chili and cheese.

And speaking of said chili and cheese, here’s a word of advice: when ordering your Hot Dog, to be on the safe side, make sure you specifically ask for the Chili and Cheese! Since it states on the menu board that the Hot Dog comes with Chili and Cheese I didn’t think to ask for it. But when I received my Hot Dog it was plain, just meat and bun. (When I mentioned it to the cast member it was quickly taken care of.)

Now, seriously, this hot dog is huge! It comes with chips, and you can grab sweet relish, ketchup, and yellow mustard at the condiment stand (make sure to grab plenty of napkins as well!).

I found it much easier to eat this one after cutting it in half.

The Chili itself had absolutely zero heat to it, so it’s a sharable item for the little ones to enjoy as well. Even though it had no heat, it had plenty of flavor and ended up being a nice topping. The bun was substantial and sturdy, and despite getting a little soggy from the chili held up well!

Overall, everything our readers have been telling us is true — the Foot Long Hot Dog was actually really good, and I would strongly suggest it as an item to share.
