Disney4me
Helllllloooooo from Disneyland and the Troubadour Tavern!Troubadour TavernThis hidden gem is a great place to grab a very quick bite in Disneyland. It’s tiny and doesn’t have much seating, but there are a couple of menu items worth getting, and you may even see a show! More on that later… .AtmosphereIn case you’re not sure where Troubadour Tavern is located (it’s kind of hidden, and many folks would walk right by), you’ll find it toward the back of the park near it’s a small world and Mickey’s Toon Town. It’s a Small World Ride near Troubadour TavernIt’s a Small World Sign near Troubadour TavernHang a left at it’s a small world and start heading up a steep incline. Stay to your LEFT and you’ll eventually come upon this little gem.Troubadour Tavern SignNote that if you stay to your RIGHT, you may encounter a long line. These are the folks waiting to get in to see the aforementioned show — Mickey and the Magical Map — which takes place on the stage adjacent to Troubadour Tavern. So — the moral of this story is: if you see a long line and just want to eat instead of see the show, veer to your left and get yourself into the Troubadour line instead of the Magical Map line. Mickey and the Magical Map stageOnce you get to the counter and order your eats, you can scout out seating. There isn’t much, so cross your fingers. There are few umbrella’d tables like this one, but that’s about it.SeatingHowever, you WILL find one of the elusive ATMs here in this little niche of the park. So if your toddler is angling for that cash-only Mickey balloon, here’s where you get your stash.ATM near Troubadour TavernEatsAs for eats here at Troubadour, there are only a few items, but they’re pretty quality. I absolutely forgot to take a picture of the full menu, so here’s a super zoomed in photo that I cropped from one of my other pics! Luckily the food is pretty self-explanatory.Troubadour Tavern MenuFist up: these gorgeous Tavern Nachos. House-made chips are topped with plastic cheese, sour cream, chives, and bacon. There’s really nothing to complain about here, folks. These were hot and fresh, and Heather and I were both kind of impressed to find this fun snack hanging out over here! You won’t be sorry if you hoof it back to Troubadour just to try these.Tavern NachosNext up, these perfect little pretzel bites. Also served with plastic cheese, these were hard to bite into, but were soft once you got through that thick exterior. Not as good as the nachos, for sure, but a decent treat. They’re very similar to the pretzel bites you’ll get over at Cozy Cone.Pretzel Bites with Cheese SauceFinally, we had to sample the Bratwurst, which happened to be served in this adorable 60th anniversary foil bag.60th Anniversary Foil BagInside was this gorgeousness. This brat was snappy in the best way possible, and that initial crunch gave way to great flavor inside. The ‘kraut is served on the side if requested, so you can control how much you use.Bratwurst SausageClose up on Bratwurst Sausage with SauerkrautOverallLike I said, Troubadour is a bit of a hidden gem. The lack of comfortable, indoor seating is a bummer for sure, but if you’re experiencing a gorgeous So Cal day (as so many of them are), then that won’t be too much of an issue. The Tavern Nachos are well worth a visit, and you can always grab the other eats to make it a full meal.Have you been to Troubadour Tavern?
