Summer is an exciting time for Disney Cruise Line, with brand-new “Frozen” fun and itineraries all over the world. But autumn will be here again before we know it, so we’re already gearing up for another season of ghoulishly good times aboard our Halloween on the High Seas cruises!

Beginning early September through October, Disney cruisers are sure to get their fill of thrills, tons of treats and even a few tricks during this extra-spooky celebration. And the best part? In addition to the wickedly fun fall festivities, you also get tons of tropical fun in the sun.

Check out my top five favorite Halloween on the High Seas experiences, and let me know in the comments which one you’re most excited to see for yourself.

1. The Pumpkin Tree
Looming eerily over the atrium lobby, the Pumpkin Tree magically blooms with Jack-O-Lanterns during the cruise. And on the final evening, the pumpkins let their bright personalities shine—literally!—during a spooky surprise performance.

2. Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party
Who doesn’t love a family costume party with Disney characters? Plus, our “super” Cruise Staff get in on the fun with enough treats to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth.

3. A Nightmare Before Christmas—Sing and Scream
Guests aboard our Halloween cruises get to experience this classic holiday film like never before with 3-D and 4-D effects, followed by an exclusive meet-and-greet with Jack and Sally.

4. Halloween Isn’t Just for Kids
The adult nightlife district aboard each Disney ship becomes the frightfully fun setting for an adult-only costume contest and electrifying dance party, proving once and for all that Halloween isn’t just for kids!

5. Haunted Stories of the Sea
Only the bravest cruisers dare to gather under the stars to hear haunted tales of the sea told by a mysterious sea captain. Is it just me, or are ghost stories scarier in the middle of the ocean?
