Disney4me
In early September, we gave you a Sneak Peek of the Disney-branded allergy-friendly snacks that were — at the time — on their way to Disney Parks at an undetermined date. Well, that date is now here… the “Snacks with Character” line is now officially available throughout Disney Parks!©DisneyAt the time, we sampled the Chocolate Chip Crunchy Cookies, but now a full line is available, offering alternative choices for guests seeking other options due to allergies or lifestyle choice. We’ve spied a few more items that have cropped up over the past few weeks as well, and options include items like Lemon Burst Cookies, Dark Chocolate Bars, and Chocolate Sunseed Bars.Snacks With Character Chocolate Chip Crunchy CookieLemon Burst CookiesDark Chocolate BarChocolate Sunseed BarThe line was created by a partnership of Disney Theme Park Merchandise with several suppliers like Enjoy Life Foods, Way Better Snacks and WOW Baking Company (options created with Ocean Spray will debut later this year).WOW Baking Company informationEnjoy Life Logo (Back of the Dark Chocolate Bar)There are currently 11 snacks in the line, and while different products will meet different needs, some of the focus is on nut-free and gluten-free snacks.©Disney©DisneyOur previous experience with the Chocolate Chip Crunchy Cookies showed how the packages prominently display which needs are addressed under the nutritional information.Snacks With Character Chocolate Chip Crunchy Cookie Nutrition FactsBest of all, some of our favorite Disney pals grace the packaging (not just Mickey, but so far Goofy and Donald Duck, too!), making these an especially fun option for kids with allergies who have had to go without a Mickey-bedecked snack in previous visits.©DisneyGoofy on the Chocolate Chips Cookie PackageMerchandise spots will offer your best bet for finding these treats (though select food and beverage locations will carry them, too), and guests traveling with Disney Cruise Line or visiting Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa, will find these items available as well. What are your thoughts on this latest development in allergy-friendly dining at Disney Parks?
