Halloween time is HERE! Themed treats and merchandise have already started to appear at the Disneyland Resort.  On a recent visit I spotted these perfectly packaged Seasonal Candy Bags at Disney California Adventure.

The artwork & packaging on these really caught my eye!  There are four different bag designs, each one containing a different type of candy.  The candies themselves are not new, but the packaging “make over” from previous years is going to have them flying off the shelves.  It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I think I like Donald’s “Terror in Tomorrowland” artwork best.

Poor Donald does indeed look terrified as he runs from “Alarming Aliens, Revolting Robots, and Mischievous Monsters.”  He’s also got Chip and Dale running for their lives!  This bag comes filled with 7 ounces of Sour Jelly Pumpkins (aka sour pumpkin gummies). I’ve yet to try the sour pumpkins, but they looked pretty tasty!

Next up, let’s take a look at Minnie’s “Faboolous Sweet Spells from Fantasyland.”

Here, we’ve got Witch Minnie Mouse casting a sweet spell!  This bag comes filled with a 7 ounce bag full of Gummi Candy Corn.  If you aren’t familiar with Gummy Candy Corn, it’s pretty interesting.  The flavor is a buttery vanilla taste and has been on the shelves of Disney’s Halloween Time for quite a while now.  You can see a full review of it here.

I love this “A Night of Horror in Adventureland” bag as well.

The bag features Pluto being chased by a scary tiki head, a famous pirate and a snake!  Text reads “Pillaging Pirates, Tiki Terror and Nightmare Natives.”  The bag comes filled with 7 ounces of chocolate filled caramels called “Chocolate Caramel Ghouls.”  The caramels are individually wrapped with foil.

The final bag features Mickey and Minnie with the text “Beware the Lands are Haunted!”  and “Magic and Mischief in the Magic Kingdom.”  You’ll also see some familiar ghosts who have left their hitchhiking post for the evening as well as Goofy, Donald, and Pluto looking a bit frightened.

This bag is filled with 7 ounces of traditional yellow, orange, and white Candy Corn.

Each candy bag costs $6.95.  Prices have gone up a bit over the past few years, but this is the first time a “souvenir” bag has been included as well.  The bags are made of a thick plastic that most definitely could be used for decor at home.  I think it would be adorable to put some “Halloween” type silk flowers in them and turn them into spooky little Halloween vases/table decor.

The candy bags can be found resort wide.  I spotted these on Paradise Pier at DCA, but you can also pick them up at Trolley Treats in DCA as well as Candy Palace & Pooh Corner in Disneyland, and Marceline’s in Downtown Disney.  I think you might even be able to pick them up at World of Disney and some other shops around the park too!

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort runs from September 11th to November 1st.  You can count on us for more Halloween treats here on the blog in the very near future!
