Disney4me
In some parts of Walt Disney World, the holiday switch has been flipped, and Christmas and other winter celebrations have arrived! In Epcot though, the Food and Wine Festival is still going strong, so the holidays have been delayed just a bit.But since World Showcase is one of my favorite spots to visit — and a definite must-do for those visiting WDW during the holiday season — I thought we’d take a look back at some of my favorite holiday offerings in some of the Pavilions. They’ll be arriving in the next couple of weeks, and I can’t wait!Epcot UK Christmas Tea TopiaryToday, we’ll head into the UK Pavilion and take a look at some of the fun ways our friends from across the pond celebrate.Christmas in Epcot’s UK PavilionDarkness descends early this time of year — even in the Sunshine State! And there’s no better way to enjoy the transition than to stroll the Promenade and take in the traditions of various world holidays.Look for these parchment scrolls throughout World Showcase. They tell of traditions observed in each country, and you’re sure to learn a little something.United Kingdom Holiday StorytellerIn addition to the scrolls, storytellers in each land appear to share tales from their homelands. In the UK Pavilion, be sure to stop and listen to Father Christmas. He’s a striking figure, isn’t he?Father ChristmasIt’s a real treat to grab a cup of Hot Applejack Cider from the Rose and Crown Beer Stand to enjoy while you listen to the tale!Hot Applejack CiderAfterwards, I can’t resist looking through the gift shops to see the special holiday merchandise. I especially like to check out The Tea Caddy. Not only does the quaint shop offer a full line of Twinings Teas, but it also offers teapots and other items to make your teatime special.Twinings Holiday TeasBut they aren’t just about the tea. Year around, there are a good assortment of snacks from the UK and Ireland available in the shop. And at Christmas, you’re likely to find some seasonal specialties.Tops on our list is a Classic Christmas Pudding!Don’t Forget the Pudding!Don’t want to mess with steaming and such? Then how about some Pudding Fudge? I didn’t even know this existed.Pudding FudgeQueue visions of sugarplums dancing.
