Disney4me
All over the World, it’s GINGERBREAD TIME!!! It’s a wonderful holiday tradition to feast your eyes on the larger-than-life Gingerbread Displays at several Deluxe Disney World Resorts before you feast your tummy on all the festive treats available during your visit!Disney World Gingerbread House TourWe’re going to take you on a visit to the major Gingerbread hot spots in Disney World, and we’ll start our Gingerbread tour at the Epcot area resorts…Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club ResortsMy personal favorite is the Gingerbread Carousel found at the Beach Club. I always love to spot the new horses each year making their way on the Merry-Go-Round!Beach Club Gingerbread CarouselWe’d love to introduce you to this year’s team of horses… here’s Julia!JuliaSasha!SashaThe Beach Club-inspired Marina…Marina… and the Yacht Club-inspired Admiral! Fortunately, there are plenty available to scratch that itch. Just remember that while gingerbread treats are available at the Beach Club, they aren’t located by the display. Simply head to the Beach Club Marketplace to find them.Beach Club Marketplace Gingerbread TreatsYacht & Beach Club Gingerbread ShingleGingerbread House available for purchaseGingerbread KitGingerbread KitThis gingerbread Mickey has always been a favorite of mine!Mickey CookieAnd this sparkly snowflake is an ideal stocking stuffer.Snowflake CookieThough we’re veering off the gingerbread path a bit, it’s still worthwhile to stop by the Yacht Club to check out the annual Train Display winding around a miniature village.Yacht Club Train DisplayYacht Club Train DisplayThere are tons of teeny details packed throughout the village scenes, from favorite Disney characters to signs for places that will be known to Yacht Club guests, like the Ship Shape Fitness Club, Hurricane Hanna’s, and Captain’s Grille.Yacht Club Train DisplayYacht Club Train DisplayYacht Club Train DisplayDon’t forget — and this goes for all the displays — to keep your eyes peeled for Hidden Mickeys! If you’re going to skip one of the resorts, I’d suggest dropping this one from you list.)Again, festive goodies abound, from cupcakes and cookies (both gingerbread and non) to peppermint bark and traditional German Stollen bread.Gingerbread Cupcakes and Mickey CookiesStollen BreadCaramel Popcorn and Peppermint BarkGingerbread Shingles and MickeysPerhaps less traditional, but perfect for a warm-weather Florida holiday, they are even serving Gelato at the BoardWalk’s display this year! Gingerbread, naturally, and Candy Cane are your festive flavor choices.Gingerbread and Candy Cane GelatoWe’ll be sharing a full review on these cold goodies soon! But for now, that wraps up our time near Epcot. Next stop? A couple of Magic Kingdom area resorts… each just a quick trip on the monorail from the other.Disney’s Contemporary ResortThe Contemporary Resort display has received a “Frozen”-themed overlay for the second year in a row, featuring Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Sven placed in front of the Mary Blair-inspired gingerbread display.Contemporary Gingerbread DisplayElsa and SvenKristoff and AnnaLest you think Olaf was left behind… this year he’s received his own dream sandcastle! Yep — in true Disney fashion, the attraction is also a store!Unlike the other displays, you really don’t get a chance to see the treats until you walk right up to the store window (which can get crowded at times.
