Disney4me
Our Disney Cruise Line crew members – along with Mickey and Minnie – recently spent some time off the ships to create magical moments this holiday season for children in need at ports of calls in the Caribbean and United States. They helped inspire children’s love for reading at Albury Primary School in Nassau by donating 600 “Finding Nemo” Read-a-Long books, one for each student. Captain Mickey and crew members also paid a special visit to Shriners Hospital in Galveston, Texas to visit with children and their families. And, in the Ports of St. Thomas, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, crew members interacted with children from local schools and charitable organizations. There’s nothing quite like bringing a smile to a child’s face, especially this time of year, and we’re so grateful for the support of our dedicated crew members who help make moments like these possible. The Disney Cruise Line annual holiday visits are part of our Disney VoluntEARS program, which provides opportunities for cast and crew members to volunteer their time to positively impact communities around the world.Disney Cruise Line Crew Members Create Magical Holiday Moments by Rebecca Peddie: Originally posted on the Disney Parks BlogView the full article
