USA Gymnastics Comes to Downtown Disney District to Announce 2017 P&G Championships Coming to Anaheim

Downtown Disney District was the site this morning for the USA Gymnastics announcement that the 2017 P&G Gymnastics Championships – the national championships for men’s and women’s gymnastics will – for the first time – be held in Anaheim, August 17-20, 2017, at Honda Center.

Legendary gymnastics coach Bela Karolyi was on hand for the announcement in front of Downtown Disney District guests, along with local officials and 2012 Olympian Sam Mikulak, 2004 Olympic all-around champion Carly Patterson and 2012 Olympic team gold medalist Kyla Ross.

Karolyi and the athletes also paid a visit to Disney California Adventure park to talk about the championships and sample the newly opened Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters attraction.
