Disney4me Posted April 4, 2016 Report Share Posted April 4, 2016 Beginning Tuesday, April 5th, booking opportunities will become available for a new tour coming to Animal Kingdom Lodge: the Sense of Africa Tour. Taking place on Tuesdays and Saturdays starting April 9th, this 3.5 hour experience is designed to engage the five senses and offer a “backstage peek at the care, feeding, well-being and social interactions of the resident animals,” such as okapi, giraffes, and ostriches. ©Disney Tour participants will start the day with a “unique twist” on breakfast at Boma, engaging the senses of Taste and Smell. ©Disney Guests will Hear the Animal Keeper Guides and Trainers sharing information regarding the animals and Animal Kingdom Lodge. While the tour includes breakfast at Boma, tour guests aren’t the only ones who will be feasting ;). Participants will Touch their selections of treats to hide for a group of red river hogs who will be ready to find and eat the treats. (Exact experiences may vary from tour to tour.) ©Disney And, of course, throughout the tour guests will enjoy the Sights of both the animals and the Lodge itself. ©Disney The price to participate is $249.00 per person, and the tour will be offered on Tuesdays and Saturdays only.
