The runDisney Star Wars Half Marathon – The Dark Side will make its debut at Walt Disney World Resort this weekend. Last month, author Aubrey Hang gave you a first look at the medals our runners will be racing for, and there was a lot of excitement about the designs.

Possibly the only thing more exciting than earning a medal – is designing one! That’s exactly the role of Matt Stewart, senior art director of Disney’s Yellow Shoes Creative Group. We recently chatted with him to learn about the design process that brought these medals to life.
