Cast Members at Shanghai Disney Resort Begin Trial Operations to Get Ready for Grand Opening

The countdown to our grand opening at Shanghai Disney Resort continues as we get ready to welcome our first official guests on June 16. The exciting news out of Shanghai today is our cast members there started ramping up for grand opening as they began a trial operations period at the resort.

As many of our fans and readers know, a trial operations period is a key pre-opening step for all Walt Disney Parks and Resorts destinations and major attractions around the world. At Shanghai Disney Resort, the trial operations period allows cast members to get ready for our first official guests next month while invited participants experience select attractions, entertainment and dining on select dates.

Invited participants for Trial Operations will be limited to Shanghai Disney Resort cast members and select resort partners and stakeholders – but we’ll keep our Disney Parks Blog readers up-to-date with the latest news and photos from Shanghai as we count down to our grand opening.
