Disney4me
What an inspiring week we’ve had at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex hosting the 2016 Invictus Games. Nearly 500 competitors from 14 countries came to Walt Disney World Resort for competition, a welcome parade in Magic Kingdom, and star-studded opening and closing ceremonies. This Week in Disney Parks photos, you’ll see participants who spectators might not have: service dogs for the competitors. Mickey Mouse and Pluto were able to spend some time with them and their partners at the Shades of Green hotel before the final day of competition. See more photos from 2016 Invictus Games in our Disney Parks Blog Facebook gallery. The brainchild of Prince Harry, the Invictus Games are the only international adaptive sporting event for for injured, wounded and ill active duty and veteran service members.
