Disney4me
Our crew members have been busy lately! Not only are they helping to make memorable vacations for all of our guests onboard, but they are also spreading a little bit of pixie dust off the ship! Last week, Disney VoluntEARS from the Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy made two very special visits to give back to the community. Crew members from the Disney Dream visited the Bahamas Humane Society located in Nassau, a private nonprofit organization dedicated to animal welfare. Our crew members experienced a fun-filled day with a variety of animals, giving them a little extra TLC and care they need. Cruise Staff Host Kim Bunka shared with us, “This was my first time volunteering for The Bahamas Humane Society and I have to say the puppy cuddles and kisses were my favorite part!” Back in the Sunshine State, crew members from the Disney Fantasy took a trip to Crosswinds Youth Services, a nonprofit organization that supports at-risk youth in Brevard County in Florida. Crew Members and some very artistic children spent the morning working together on making greeting cards for children in local hospitals. Each card was crafted, colored and personalized with a handwritten note of encouragement, with the hopes of bringing a smile to the face of each child who receives a card. It looks like everyone had a rewarding experience making a difference in these local communities – and we’re so appreciative of their efforts!
