Disney4me
Halloween is almost here! And if you’re looking for some ghoulish ways to party during the spookiest time of the year, there’s no better place to be than Disney Springs! Disney Springs Pumpkin We’ve been excited to see just what the expanded shopping, dining, and entertainment district would be offering in the way of holiday celebrations, and it’s shaping up already to be a fun place to enjoy the festivities. Let’s take a closer look at some of what’s going on at Disney Springs this Halloween. Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant As the days get shorter and the air turns a little cooler, look no further than Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant for some fantastic flavors that celebrate Fall and Halloween. Mysterious Concoctions at Raglan Road A trip to Raglan Road this Halloween week makes perfect sense. After all, many of the traditions that we now celebrate, like dressing in costumes and carving pumpkins, originated with the Celtic Samhain (pronounced “sow-anne”) festival. Irish villagers would disguise themselves and carve scary faces into turnips (boo!) in order to discourage ghosties from coming ’round. (Well. The bad ones, anyway.) So Raglan Road has created their very own brew, the Druids Samhain Potion, to mark the celebration. The sweet drink is a combination of Jameson Black Barrel Irish Whiskey, Amaretto Disaronno, Maraschino Cherry Juice, Cranberry, and Apple Juice. Doesn’t it look awesome? Druids Samhain Potion Hurry if you’d like to try it — it’s only available now through October 31! If your tastes run to beer, be sure to check out the Raglan Road Signature Collection, the pub’s newest flight. It includes Miriam’s Irish Coffee Stout; Bloomsdale Pale Ale; Tri Wishes Grand Irish Red Ale; and Planted Strawberry & Lime Hard Cider. Signature Collection Flight Beyond Halloween, you can still enjoy the flavors of Fall by sipping on the Spiced Caramel Apple Martini. The drink combines Calvados, Butterscotch Schnapps, Freshly Muddled Apple, Magners Irish Cider, and Hershey’s Caramel Syrup with a Sugar Rim. Spiced Caramel Apple Martini Wanna whip up a little Druids Samhain Potion at home? Here’s the recipe! Druids Samhain Potion Serves 1 Ingredients: 2 oz. Jameson Black Barrel Irish Whiskey 1.25 oz. Serve over food-grade dry ice with a swizzle stick (available online). Garnish imaginatively! Cheers! Celebrate Yelloween at STK Looking for a fun, grown-up experience this Halloween? Then check out Yelloween at STK, where you can celebrate “with spooky hosts and Champagne toasts”! The event takes place on Monday, October 31, (natch) beginning at 8:00 PM. A ticket to the party includes a two-hour open bar, a “lite bites” menu, drink specials, and a live DJ. We love the vibe of STK’s rooftop terrace, where the event takes place! Upper Level Patio Dining at STK Orlando Tickets are $50 per person (not bad for a 2 hour open bar when it comes to Disney pricing!). To purchase yours, head over to Eventbrite.
