You waited all year for pumpkin spice, and Karamell-Küche in Epcot’s Germany Pavilion does not want you to be disappointed!

Several new seasonal treats await at this tiny sweets shop in the World Showcase. Karamell-Küche is one of the best places to satisfy your sweet tooth, which makes sense considering the name translates to “caramel kitchen” in English!

And who doesn’t think a caramel kitchen is a good idea?

When you walk in, you’ll see the treats in all of their sugary glory behind the glass and probably some cast members working on a new batch, too. They have caramel-dipped everything: apples, strawberries, cupcakes, cookies, and a DFB favorite, the caramel-covered popcorn.

It’s Werther’s caramel central.

Let’s check out the new treats! There’s a mixture of seasonal and regular flavors, so we’ll start with the most festive…

Pumpkin Spice Caramel Square

The name says it all. The pumpkin flavor is mixed in with the caramel and topped with three adorable pumpkin seeds.

Unlike a the famous latte and other pumpkin spice treats, this one is actually less spice flavor and more pumpkin. It’s also super sweet!

The texture was perfectly smooth and chewy. Although not the pumpkin spicy-ness I expected, I really liked this new treat!

This one is $4.49 and Disney Dining Plan snack credit eligible. If you like your pumpkin on the sweet side, I think you’ll enjoy this one!

Caramel Gingersnap

However, if you want a little bite with your snack, you might want to choose this guy—the Caramel Gingersnap.

As you can see, it’s a gorgeous color. That deep reddish brown is thanks to the ginger spice mixed into the caramel. It smells JUST like a gingersnap, and it is yummy!

To add to the spicy ginger flavor, the top is dusted with ground ginger and a dot of cream. At first I worried that it would be TOO much ginger for my taste, but I thought the flavors were balanced very well. I think I tasted a hint of cinnamon in there, too!

It seemed like this one was a bit thicker than the pumpkin caramel. This one is also $4.49 and DDP snack credit eligible. If you love gingerbread, I think you’ll be happy with this choice!

Eggnog Caramel Square

I have to admit, I wasn’t quite sure what to think about eggnog and caramel. But hang with me…

So, it’s not quite as pretty as the other holiday caramels, but it is tasty!! I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Again, the eggnog flavor is mixed into the chewy caramel.

The top is dusted with nutmeg and a bit of cream. The eggnog flavor is very strong, which is a good thing! This one was less sweet than the pumpkin option and has a great texture.

We only get to enjoy eggnog once a year, so I think that in itself is a good excuse to try this caramel. It’s $4.49 and snack credit eligible. I’d start the holidays early and go get one ASAP ;)

Salted Caramel Cupcake

Now for the less seasonal but just as delicious snacks! I’m SUPER jazzed to see this, since this location used to have cupcakes years ago and then got rid of them. So it’s so great to see them back!

The Salted Caramel Cupcake is a dark chocolate cake and caramel buttercream icing with caramel drizzled over top, and it is just as rich as it sounds!

If you can tell from the picture, the salt is actually mixed into the icing! I love that because instead of getting just a couple bites of salty flavor, it stays with you for the whole cupcake. It’s a good balance for the sweetness of the icing.

And as you can see, there’s a lot of it! Not only is it tall, it sinks down into the cupcake. *swoon*

I have to tell you about the cake part, too. This cupcake is DENSE! It’s a fudgy texture—almost brownie like—and so good! It’s very very chocolaty, so get ready!

Overall, I did love this one, but I think you have to love sweetness to enjoy it! It’s $5.59 and DDP snack credit eligible, but I really think you could share with as hefty and rich it is!

Mickey Krispie Treat with Werther’s Caramel

I saved the most adorable for last! The caramel-drizzled Mickey Rice Krispie Treat!

Not only is this treat adorable, it is so good and so different from a classic Mickey Krispy.

I thought it would taste the same plus chocolate and caramel, but no! The chocolate ears and Werther’s Caramel really does something to a Mickey Krispy.

The milk chocolate covering the ears is pretty thick and the caramel drizzle is even thicker! (I think the caramel being Werther’s makes it even more delicious though I have no scientific proof.)

As you can tell, this is a new favorite of mine. Between nostalgia and delicious, creamy caramel, this is definitely one of my top Disney treats. It’s $5.49 and DDP snack credit eligible, and I think you should go get one now!

Overall

It’s really hard to say something negative about any of these new treats. Karamell-Küche knocked it out of the park again, and I hope you love them as much as I did! As far as we know, and judging by past holiday seasons, we expect the seasonal items to stick around for a couple months.
