Disney4me
In the 1947 short, “Mickey and the Beanstalk,” Mickey trades his cow for a handful of magic beans he hopes will help feed himself and his farmer friends, Donald and Goofy. When the moonlight causes the magic beans to sprout into a giant beanstalk, the trio are pushed into an adventure that soon has them rescuing a magical Golden Harp from a wicked giant. “Mickey and the Beanstalk” was the inspiration for this week’s Disney Doodle, in which artist Ashley Taylor imagined Mickey, Donald, Goofy – and their new friend, Golden Harp – dining with happy abundance at Magic Kingdom Park. “‘Mickey and the Beanstalk’ was my favorite Disney animated short as a kid!,” Ashley said. “I loved the Magical Harp girl and was thrilled to be able to draw her, Mickey, Donald and Goofy at Liberty Tree Tavern.” View the full article
