Can you believe it’s almost been one whole year since Star Wars: The Force Awakens made its debut? And now we’re getting ready for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story to open in theaters on December 16th! To celebrate, Disney recently transformed Spaceship Earth into the Death Star at a Disney Parks Blog Meet-up.

Though the event took place at Epcot, Disney made several Star Wars announcements regarding Hollywood Studios for the near future…as we await the addition of Star Wars Land in the not-so-near future ;) .

You’ll soon be spotting Troopers from Rogue One at Hollywood Studios, and props from the new film will be available for viewing at the Star Wars Launch Bays in Disney World and Disneyland.

Additionally, a new Star Wars Guided Tour will soon be available for booking at the Studios.

Billed as an experience for “the ultimate Star Wars fan,” the seven-hour tour — led by an “all-in-the-know guide” — will include boarding on Star Tours — The Adventure Continues, a guided tour of the Star Wars Launch Bay, Character Greetings with Kylo Ren and Chewbacca, a screening of Star Wars: Path of the Jedi, and reserved viewing for the March of the First Order and Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away. And Padawans ages 4 – 12 participating in the tour will be able to take part in Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple.

Dinner is also included with a Quick Service meal at Backlot Express where several Star Wars-themed items are featured on the menu.

And finally, guests will have a spot at the Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party (with the dining portion now taking place inside the Star Wars Launch Bay) that is complete with a reserved viewing area for Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.

Cost for the tour will be $129 per guest (separate admission to Hollywood Studios is required). Booking is not available yet, but will be shortly via the Disney World website or by calling (407) 939-8687.

In fact, all Hollywood Studios guests will be able to enjoy Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular earlier than anticipated, as it will return nightly to the park beginning December 16th. (Guests will have the opportunity to see two spectaculars each evening as Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! continues its run through December 31st.) And booking will be available again soon for the Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party for dates after the New Year.

Happy Rogue One viewing to all! And May the Force be with You and Yours this Holiday Season!
