We’re a little more than a month away from the grand opening of Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

It won't be long 'til we walk across this bridge!

When Pandora opens on May 27 in Disney’s Animal Kingdom guests will be immersed in the wondrous world of the Avatar film, including new dining and drinking establishments and two new attractions: Avatar Flight of Passage and the Na’vi River Journey! Today we have a preview of two desserts created for Satu’li Canteen!

When creating these desserts, Disney chefs took inspiration from the Na’vi of Pandora. The first dessert – Blueberry Cheesecake with Passion Fruit Curd – uses the Na’vi colors of blue and yellow and features passion fruit as a connection to the tropical environment of Pandora.

Another dessert, Chocolate Cake with a Crunchy Cookie, Banana Cream and Goji Berries, uses dark chocolate cake as a claimed nod to the healthy Na’vi (the assumption being that dark chocolate is healthy due to antioxidants). The chocolate cake is topped with banana cream, lemon drizzle, and Goji Berries hydrated with simple syrup. Banana and chocolate is always a good combination!

Both desserts will be available at the counter service Satu’li Canteen when Pandora opens on May 27! See the full Satu’li Canteen menu here, and specialty drinks in Pandora here!
