Disney4me Posted May 7, 2017 Report Share Posted May 7, 2017 This week, we continued our countdown to the May 27 opening of Pandora - The World of Avatar with more first looks from this spectacular new world coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Disney Parks Blog readers were among the first to see some special interactive banshees (from Avatar Flight of Passage) and learn how guests will be able to connect with these animals at The Rookery inside Windtraders, the primary merchandise location on Pandora. Our coverage also included a first look at the special nametags for cast members representing Alpha Centauri Expeditions (ACE), a futuristic travel company that prepares visitors from Earth for their exciting adventure to Pandora. Cast members will be immersed in the Na’vi culture, by learning about their language, environment and way of life. One example is the way cast members will be able to welcome guests with the common Na’vi word for hello – Kaltxi (kahl-T’IH). Check out our original story for more details. The Guardians of the Galaxy are coming to Disney California Adventure park on May 27. The new Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! will blast you straight into their story for the first time ever as you help Rocket bust his pals out of the Collector’s Fortress. New Tomorrowland Skyline Lounge Experience to Debut in Disneyland Park – There’s a new way to take in the Tomorrowland skyline at Disneyland park, from a unique point of view! To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Space Mountain at Disneyland Resort, a new lounge experience will debut in Tomorrowland on May 26. Creators Ready ‘Happily Ever After’ for May 12 Debut at Magic Kingdom Park – Few parts of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation are more memorable than standing before Cinderella Castle to watch nighttime fireworks with your family or friends. Starting May 12, “Happily Ever After” will take its place in Disney Park history to become the third regular nighttime fireworks show to debut ever at Magic Kingdom Park. Race Into Disney Parks for a Sneak Peek of Disney•Pixar’s “Cars 3” – In the coming weeks, Guests visiting Disney Parks will be able to preview scenes from Disney•Pixar’s “Cars 3” in sneak peeks planned for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts.
