Disney4me
Yesterday, lucky Disney Parks Blog readers seized on the chance to attend the premiere of “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” – and we were overwhelmed by the excited response from all of you “Pirates” fans out there. And today, I have another special treat for you. On Wednesday, May 17, we will host a special advanced screening of “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” at AMC Downtown Disney 12 at the Disneyland Resort. That’s even before the premiere itself! And if you’re on the East Coast, we’ve got you covered – stay tuned to Disney Parks Blog later today for the chance to attend a special advanced screening at Walt Disney World Resort. Come dressed to impress in your finest pirate attire! But leave the pistols and swords aboard yer ship, me hearties. This epic tale finds a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack feeling the winds of ill-fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea—notably Jack. Jack’s only hope of survival lies in the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it he must forge an uneasy alliance with Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario), a brilliant and beautiful astronomer, and Henry (Brenton Thwaites), a headstrong young sailor in the Royal Navy. At the helm of the Dying Gull, his pitifully small and shabby ship, Captain Jack seeks not only to reverse his recent spate of ill fortune, but also to save his very life from the most formidable and malicious foe he has ever faced.
