Disney4me
On this day in Disney history, 75 years ago, theatergoers got their very first look at “Bambi,” the timeless coming-of-age story of Bambi and his forest friends. Released in 1942, “Bambi” was Disney’s first full-length animated film that focused on an animal cast of characters, living in nature. The film introduced not only Bambi, but his several of his beloved forest friends: Thumper the rabbit, Flower the skunk, and Faline, a doe. “Bambi” would go on to receive three Academy Award nominations, including nods for Best Song (“Love is a Song”), Best Score and Best Original Music Score.
