Disney4me
The moon and Venus were shining brightly beside the Moonliner as I walked through Tomorrowland after an early morning shoot on Main Street, U.S.A., last month. Wispy clouds glowed pink and red amidst deep blue sky – separating Earth from the cosmos as the sun began to rise. How could I NOT make a picture?! Today’s Moonliner is a structural callback to the 1955 Disneyland attraction, Rocket to the Moon. The original rocket was retired during the reimagining of Tomorrowland in 1966. The current Moonliner is a replica – installed as part of the 1998 reimagining of Tomorrowland. Visit Tomorrowland next time you’re at Disneyland park. From Astro Orbitor to Space Mountain; Star Tours – The Adventures Continue to Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage; Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters to Autopia; and Disneyland Monorail to Star Wars Launch Bay; the spirit of innovation, exploration and adventure await.
