Disney4me
As you probably already know, there’s a whole lot of jolly happening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this holiday season with the festive “Flurry of Fun” park-wide celebration. There’s a fantastic new and improved fireworks, projection and musical extravaganza — Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!, plus a dazzling new Sunset Seasons Greetings wintry wonderland transformation where unforgettable tales unfold with beloved characters and heartwarming projections (see if you can spot the Aliens from “Toy Story” or the zany Swedish Chef from The Muppets). But if you head to the Studios for a holiday outing with a little one tow, keep in mind the simple things that resonate most with preschoolers. Don’t underestimate the twinkly lights swirling overhead and around, a gentle snow fall down Sunset Boulevard, the rainbow of fireworks soaring over the Chinese Theater, or the must-do visit with Saint Nick at the Once upon a Time Shop. I was tickled with the new retro décor around Echo Lake and wondered about the shimmering Christmas tree’s presence smack dab in the lake. Don’t tell me kids aren’t mesmerized by how it got there. So take in the glorious season and on your way out be sure to stop for a holiday treat your little one will remember– a tasty red velvet whoopee pie bedazzled for the season!
