One of the most cherished traditions in Latin American cultures and a very special one for me and my family, is celebrating El Día de los Tres Reyes Magos (Three Kings Day). It’s the day we celebrate the Three Wise Men Melchor, Gaspar, and Balthazar — who traveled by camel across the desert to present baby Jesus with three symbolic gifts.

If you are away from home, fear not! You can still celebrate Reyes while enjoying your stay at a Disney resort!

Make sure that before you depart for your trip, your child writes a letter to the Reyes listing the gifts wanted and why they should receive them. And then on the night of January 5th, the kids need to leave their shoe boxes or any box near a door, a window or even under their bed with whatever they want the Three Kings and the camels to eat: candy, grass or even water!

And when you all wake up on the morning of January 6th, you will be able to enjoy your presents and go and have fun in your resort or at the theme parks.

The important thing is to continue with our tradiciones even while on vacation.

How are you celebration these upcoming Reyes day?
