This event, hosted by La Cava del Tequila and Art of Drink, takes place on April 11, and I CAN’T WAIT. The Agave Experience The Agave Experience is a masterclass taught by world-renowned mixologist Gustavo Ortega-Oyarzun, a native of Celaya, Mexico, and the founder of Art of Drink in New York City (plus he has a CRAZY pedigree in tequila). Gustavo Ortega-Oyarzun I got to see Gustavo in action last year, and he’s truly a master of his craft. The session is entertaining and educational — and all fun. Pouring the good stuff! During the Masterclass, participants will learn about the differences between regional agave spirits, discover the history and production of agave spirits, taste and compare the spirits, get a lesson on the basics of home bartending, and receive a set of tools! So much fun! This guy knows his stuff and he’s an entertaining presenter. Well worth the $85 cost for the lesson.
