Disney4me
Are you more than ready to board the Millennium Falcon at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge? Though you’ll have to wait a little while longer for when this new land opens in Disneyland next summer and Hollywood Studios in late fall 2019, more details have been revealed regarding what we can expect from the highly anticipated Millennium Falcon attraction! Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Concept Art CinemaBlend.com has shared information from the special features on select versions of the Blu-Ray of Solo: A Star Wars Story. In the extra features, Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Executive Scott Trowbridge shares some really fun scoop regarding how your time on the Millennium Falcon will directly affect your further adventures in the land! Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Concept Art “If you bring back all the loot and there’s not a scratch on the ship and Hondo [from Star Wars Rebels] is really happy when you bring it back, you might find yourself with some extra Galactic Credits in your account. But do a poor job, you lose the cargo, you smash up the ship, you might come back owing more money than you started with, the bossman might not be too happy. And when you roll across to the local cantina the bartender might lean over and say ‘hey, word on the street is your name’s been put on the list of a local bounty hunter; I’d watch out if I were you’ so how well you do on this mission really does have an impact on your overall, land-wide story.” Woah. That’s some serious RFID following. Oga’s Cantina Concept Art ©Disney The interactive nature of this experience will deliver an aspect unique to Galaxy’s Edge in that the guest’s own story and experience on the planet of Batuu will be directly tied to how they perform their duties on their mission on the attraction, as it will “follow” them, in a sense, around various parts of the land. Six guests will participate in each ride vehicle with varying duties from piloting the ship, handling weapons, and overseeing engineering issues. With all this new information, I’m inspired to paraphrase Han himself and say… I’ve got a good feeling about this. How about you?
