Disney4me
A trip to the Animal Kingdom is always wild for us as we find so many updates each week! Find out what we found in new menu items, seasonal treats, and merchandise this week! Hello from the Animal Kingdom The first thing we found were updated ticket prices at the ticket windows. New Ticket Prices at Animal Kingdom On to happier finds! Menu Updates at Tiffins We spotted a few changes at Tiffins on Discovery Island. Chicken and Waffle replaced the Pomegranate Lacquered Chicken Fort McCoy Rib Eye replaced the Fort McCoy Beef Tenderloin Braised Lamb Shank replaced the Kamo Ramen Tiffins Menu Menu Updates at Flame Tree Barbecue Flame Tree Barbecue has updated their menu by adding a Smokehouse Chicken Salad, Kids’ Turkey Sandwich, and a Salted Caramel Apple Crisp Cupcake. That does mean there are some items that have been removed from the menu. You’ll no longer be able to enjoy the Mixed Greens Salad with Roasted Chicken Breast, Watermelon Salad, Kids’ Chicken Sandwich, or the Banana Maple Cake. Flame Tree Barbecue Menu But don’t stress too much. They tend to remove and replace that Watermelon Salad from time to time, just in case it’s a favorite of yours. Flame Tree Barbecue Menu Flame Tree Barbecue Menu OK — sign us up for this! It sounds like all things Harvest and Fall in one delicious cupcake! Flame Tree Barbecue Salted Caramel Apple Crisp Cupcake New Hours for Restaurantosaurus Lounge When the Restaurantosaurus Lounge started as a test in July, it usually opened at 5pm. When we were there this week, the cast member we spoke with told us it opened around noon and would have new operating hours soon. They do not have exact hours yet as it is based on crowd levels. Restaurantosaurus Lounge We’ll have another review for you soon! We couldn’t help stopping in for a drink and some eats. New Halloween Cupcake Spotted We spotted a new Halloween Cupcake at several locations around the park. This not-to-spooky Mickey ghost-adorned sweet treat was spotted at Creature Comforts and Pizzafari. It’s a combo of pumpkin and cinnamon flavors that we couldn’t resist trying this out. Read our review of this Halloween treat! Halloween Cupcake On the topic of cupcakes and all things sweet, we did not see the Rivers of Light Cupcake at Creature Comforts this week, but we did spot Halloween donuts at Royal Anandapur Tea Company. Cupcakes or Donuts — the impossible question — which would you pick? Royal Anandapur Tea Company Halloween Donuts Tire Pumpkin Straws Are Everywhere! OK, not everywhere, but since first spotting them at two locations here we’ve also found them in the Hollywood Studios and Epcot — and now even more places here! In Animal Kingdom you can pick these up at Pizzafari and Harambe Market in addition to Mahindi and the Feeding Ground. Tire Jack-o-Lantern Straw So much for these being exclusive to Cars Land in Disney California Adventure as we were told they would be! ;-D Tire Pumpkin Straws Asia Construction Update The construction we saw last week is still in progress, which means the construction walls are still up in Asia and there’s still work being done behind Drinkwallah. Asia Construction Drinkwallah Construction New Line of Home Items Featuring Cinderella We found this new line of home items including plates, bowls, tea cups, coffee cups and even a frame in Animal Kingdom. Like the products spotted in Epcot this week, these are some more elegant and mature renderings of Cinderella. Cinderella Plate Click here to seem them all! Cinderella Mug Explore Animal Kingdom with PinQuest Disney Trading Pin collectors and fans of scavenger hunts — we found the perfect pin collecting scavenger hunt for you! PinQuest is now in Animal Kingdom. PinQuest was originally launched in Magic Kingdom about two and a half years ago. The Animal Kingdom version works exactly the same as the Magic Kingdom version. You’ll purchase your starter “Adventure Pack” which includes your lanyard, decoder medal, legend, and map to guide you around the park as you collect six pins (all an extra purchase) on the adventure. Animal Kingdom PinQuest As you figure out each clue you’ll go to that clue’s location to buy a pin with the code and clue that will send you to the following location in the park. Each clue/code pin is $9.99. You’ll purchase six pins along the way. After you have collected all six pins you can purchase a “Complet-Ear” pin for $4.99 to complete your set.
