Disney4me Posted December 20, 2018 Report Share Posted December 20, 2018 Back in September, we reported that IllumiNations, the beloved laser, water, and pyrotechnics show nightly seen on Epcot’s World Showcase Lagoon, will be replaced in the second half of 2019. Illuminations, Reflections of Earth And now there’s construction happening over at World Showcase Lagoon! Possible construction of Illuminations replacement We spotted this construction equipment in World Showcase Lagoon today. It appears to be a construction barge, some piping, and a crane. We have NO idea if this is for the new Fireworks Show coming to Epcot next year, or if it’s just run-of-the-mill maintenance. Cast members that we asked weren’t sure. Possible construction of Illuminations replacement The forthcoming show is described as bringing “new thrills” to the crowds who gather to watch Epcot’s nighttime spectacular, but we can only watch as it unfolds, as details about the show have not yet been released.
