Disney4me
Tropical Imports in Disneyland’s Adventureland is the place to go for healthier-than-the-usual-theme-park-grub when you’re gearing up for your Jungle Cruise, and our Disneyland correspondent Heather (Maeva, @DiningInDisney) has discovered a sweet, share-able treat that’s the perfect fuel for your fun. Tropical Imports The Tropical Bar is packed with flavors — from dried fruits, nuts, and coconut — that provide a lot of sweetness and sustainable energy. You’ll find them in a basket at the check-out, so it’s the perfect treat to grab-and-go! Click here to check out a food hack from Tropical Imports! (Spoiler alert: it involves Dole Whip!) Tropical Bar The base of this bar contains graham flour, so you’re getting a slight graham cracker-ness to every bite. The topping is a mixture of dried mango, dried apricots, dried cherries, chocolate chips, pecans, coconut, and sweet binders like sweetened condensed milk. It’s basically a tropical seven layer bar!! Tropical Bar This is a size-able treat, making it great to share — and there’s a little trick here to make sharing even easier. More on that in a bit! Tropical Bar You can see the layers here, with the sweet tropical fruit on top of the richer chocolate chip layer, on top of the golden crust. The layers of flavors are also layers of energy, with the chocolate offering a blast of sugar and the fruits offering longer-lasting boost. Tropical Bar One of the coolest features of these bars is that they are pre-cut (from the bottom), so you can easily portion them out or share them with your fellow adventurers. Tropical Bar Each of the six squares is packed with all of the flavors of the bar, and Heather found this super-sweet treat to be rich and dense, so eating more than one square at a time is a bit of a challenge. (A welcome challenge, really!) Tropical Bar If you find yourself with a jungle-sized hunger, head to Tropical Imports and give the Tropical Bar a try!
