Lion King Simba Cupcake The Lion King Simba Cupcake made its mark in Disney’s Animal Kingdom waaaayyy back in 2014. So it was fun to see it back at Pizzafari and Creature Comforts today. Lion King Cupcake sign There is a change to note, though. While you still see Simba’s cute mug and frosting mane decorating the top of the buttercream, the filling inside has changed. Lion King Cupcake Now tucked inside the yellow cake, you’ll find white chocolate mousse (as opposed to the previous passion fruit filling). The return of this cupcake is a fitting tribute since this year marks the25th anniversary of the classic Disney animated film The Lion King! Starting January 18th, Animal Kingdom will also recognize the anniversary with the new Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party starring Timon and Pumba, special photo opportunities and more.
