Disney4me
Epcot’s Sunshine Seasons did it again! We were there to enjoy a quiet moment before the Festival of the Arts Food Booths opened, and guess what we found — the most artistic mini-cake we’ve ever seen! Festival of the Arts-inspired Seasonal Dessert at Sunshine Seasons This little treat is not officially a part of the festival, so don’t look for it your Festival Passport. The big question, did this taste as good as it looked? First of all, we love the Jackson Pollock inspired decoration and presentation. This stark white plate is splattered with food coloring, as is the white-iced mini cake. Seasonal Dessert The detailed decorations are fun as well with a painter’s palette and paint brush both made with peanut butter flavored fondant. The paint brush’s handle is a pretzel stick. It was a nice (and yummy) change to enjoy some flavor in the fondant decorations instead of the usual plain sugar taste you usually get with fondant. Festival of the Arts Inspired Mini Cake Inside, the mini cake is made with a yellow cake, not that you can tell, since it is colored with a multitude of food colors! And all that white frosting — it isn’t vanilla — it is peanut butter flavored buttercream frosting! Festival of the Arts Inspired Mini Cake Did we like this? Peanut butter flavor, buttercream, moist cake, and so fun to look at and photograph. We LOVE this mini-cake. We had it for breakfast…and are considering having it for dinner tonight as well! Festival of the Arts Inspired Mini Cake This is a super-fun and delicious cake that we hope sticks around throughout the entire run of the festival.
