Artist in Residence: Gabby Zapata Gabby is an artist with her own unique style, love of Disney and her bright, cheerful imagery is sure to make you smile! As a senior visual development artist for Disney Digital Network in Glendale, Calif., she creates original artwork you may see on our social media platforms. She majored in computer animation at Ringling College of Art & Design and with the inspiration of legendary animator, Mary Blair, Gabby uses vibrant colors and simplicity in shapes to illustrate diverse, strong, sweet women. Appearance Dates: Feb. 9-10, 16-17, 23-24 from 5 – 9 p.m. Featured Artisan of the Month: Eunjung June Kim Based in San Francisco, June is an illustrator who loves the art of storytelling. With a Master of Fine Arts from the Academy of Art University, June’s Disney-inspired works are versatile, whimsical and eye-catching. Recently, June was invited to create a piece of art for the WonderGround Gallery to commemorate the 90th birthday celebration of Mickey Mouse! Her art will be showcased in the gallery throughout the month of February. Appearance dates: Feb. 16-17, 23-24 from 1 – 4 p.m. Artist Showcase and Signing See the latest creations from both Gabby and June, together with John Coulter in this unique, one-day exhibit, where each artist will release new works. Add a dash of pixie dust to your personal collection! John is a native of Tucson, Ariz., and studied at the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. He is one of the official fine artists for the Disney Parks and his masterpieces can be found in various shops and galleries throughout Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
