Ok, so… the new Chocolate Donut Holes at Isle of Java in Disney’s Animal Kingdom may not sound as interesting as the Apple Cider Donut Holes which these have replaced.

But wait until you see them!

The three Chocolate Donut Holes are rolled in sugar and spice, then fried. But the finishing touch of chocolate-orange glaze is MUCH more impressive in person than as it appears pictured on the sign.

These rich donut holes are positively poured over and oozing with rich, almost fudge-like chocolate sauce. Good thing these are served on a stick!

The “orange” part of the glaze comes through more in the fragrance than the flavor, but there is a nice little hint of it.

Seriously, chocoholics, give these a try if you find yourself on Discovery Island in Animal Kingdom anytime soon!

Keep in mind that the Apple Cider Donut Holes stayed around a LOT longer than originally anticipated, so here’s hoping the Chocolate Donut Holes will do the same!
