Disney’s Hollywood Studios isn’t the only Disney park making way for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

… because it’s just been announced that Disneyland park will be welcoming the brand new attraction in 2022!

Mickey’s Toontown will be home to the adventure that is Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway! It will be the first Mickey-themed ride-through attraction in Disneyland park. As Disney shares, it will put guests “inside the wacky and unpredictable world of a Mickey Mouse cartoon short where anything can happen!”

“Once you step into the cartoon world of Mickey and Minnie, you’ll board a train with Goofy as the engineer. Then, one magical moment after the next leads you to a zany, out-of-control adventure filled with surprising twists and turns.”

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will present an original story and new theme song in a setting utilizing state-of-the-art technology and visual effects to deliver “an incredible and immersive multi-dimensional experience” to guests entering the cartoon world!

Within the announcement, Disney also revealed a new opening season for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Originally announced for this fall, the attraction is now slated for a Spring 2020 opening on the east coast.
