Disney4me Posted April 23, 2019 Report Share Posted April 23, 2019 Just yesterday we took a look at how a nine-month renovation project will bring changes to Magic Kingdom’s parking lot, TTC (Transportation and Ticket Center), and Tram system. And these changes, for the time being, will add a few more steps to your walk from the Magic Kingdom parking lots. Magic Kingdom Tram Path Refurb The work at Magic Kingdom is part of Disney’s property-wide improvements to ease the comings and goings of guests at the four theme parks. And now, if you drive to Epcot, you can look forward to racking up a few more steps on your pedometer over there, too. Heading to Epcot With the regular tram stop closed for refurbishment, guests parking their cars will still utilize the east and west lots, but will approach the entrance from the sides (as opposed to right down the center path with Spaceship Earth directly in view). West Tram and Drop-off sign This results in a bit more walking as the temporary tram locations lay outside of the park’s entrance area. Epcot Tram While entrance improvements are either in-progress or planned for all four parks, the work at Epcot is especially noteworthy as it is in conjunction with the previously announced plans for a complete transformation of the park’s entrance, including the plaza. Ultimately, the plaza “will welcome guests with new pathways, sweeping green spaces and a newly reimagined fountain. This new design will pay homage to the original park entrance with fresh takes on classic elements.” So, as time moves forward, we’re bound to see more of these… Green Refurbishment Fence … along the way at Epcot. Refurbishment Fence But the end result, which will also include the new Guardians of the Galaxy attraction, new restaurants in France and Japan (PLUS a space-themed restaurant in Future World), and SO much more… well, its all bound to be well worth it!
