If you’ve visited Disneyland over the last couple of months, then you’ve seen the refurbishment walls surrounding Sleeping Beauty Castle, along with the ongoing refurbishment efforts.

Disney has shared that the Castle refurbishments are part of Project Stardust — an overarching plan which includes “a number of enhancements” to the entire Disneyland Resort — and in particular Disneyland park – in an effort to “continue to deliver a world-class guest experience” in advance of the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

While it was known that the work would be completed sometime in spring, the Disneyland website now posts hours for the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough beginning May 28, 2019! (As of press time, all dates prior to this come up as “No Times Available.”)

Presumably, May 28th will be the first day that the Castle is seen in full view once again as well. This date, of course, is just a few days prior to the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on May 31, 2019.

Sleeping Beauty Castle will maintain its classic color scheme of warm pink and bright blue once the efforts of the refurbishment work are revealed. But Disney has also shared that the Castle is receiving a subtle sprinkling of “pixie dust.”
