In fact, the reason might just make you quack up. Splash Mountain Closed It’s ducks. Precisely, a family of ducks has taken up residence on the ride, creating a potentially dangerous situation for the ducks and requiring the ride to close while they’re being relocated. Splash Mountain Closed 4/29/19 Guests who were in line when the ride closed were led out of the queue via the ride’s alternative exit — the one you take if you decide not to ride at the last minute. Speculation is that with the Cinderella Castle moat being drained, ducks may have relocated themselves to other areas of the park. (No ducks were available to confirm this.)
