What do you get the most amazing mom in the world for Mother’s Day? (Shout out to you, Diane Smith!) I always ask myself this question when May comes around. I moved to Florida from Ohio about 8 years so I’m hundreds of miles away from my mom but I always send her a little something special each Mother’s Day and lucky for me I can always find a unique gift at Disney Springs. Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 12, and if you’re lucky enough to spend the day with Mom or need some helpful hints for gifts, here are a few of my favorite ideas and ways to spend a memorable day:

Crafts at Sugarbook & Co and the Artistic Marbling experience at The Art Corner by Artistic Talent Group at Disney Springs

Mom & Me Activities: Looking for something crafty to do? Sugarboo & Co. is hosting a “Mom and Me” terrarium building class from 8:30-10 a.m. on May 11. Space is limited so be sure to make a reservation by calling the store at (407) 560-0479. This shop is also filled with whimsical and thoughtful gifts you won’t find anywhere else. Another hidden gem is the Artistic Marbling experience at The Art Corner by Artistic Talent Group where Mom can make her own custom-made silk scarf. No reservations are needed—simply walk in the store and get creative!

Jewelry & Accessories: If you’re on the hunt for something sparkly, Disney Springs has it all! My favorite new find from Ever After Jewelry Co. & Accessories is the new Disney-inspired kate spade new york handbag collection featuring classic shades of pink and red. You’ll also find a plethora of Disney-inspire jewelry featuring well-known brands like ALEX AND ANI, Crislu Jewelry, Enchanted Fine Jewelry and more. Other jewelry finds include a Mom and family tree bracelet from PANDORA Jewelry, and unique rings, necklaces, and more from UNOde50. (Get a little something for yourself and enjoy an exclusive bracelet design with any purchase of $250 or more through May 12, 2019.)

Japanese Cheesecake Soufflé from Morimoto Asia, wine and cheese trio pairing at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar and brunch buffet selection at STK Orlando at Disney Springs

Brunch and Specials: Start Mother’s Day weekend with a special wine and cheese trio pairing at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar available May 10-May 12. Brunch more her thing? Enjoy an unforgettable brunch buffet at STK Orlando on May 12 and enjoy everything from a raw bar, dessert playground, DJ, classic brunch cocktails, and so much more! (Reservations and more details here.) Win Mom’s heart with a surprise dessert from Morimoto Asia featuring a Japanese Cheesecake Soufflé with orange blossom honey gelato and strawberries. (Order yours here.)

Chocolates from Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop, special “amore” cookie from Amorette’s Patisserie and classic box of chocolates from The Ganachery at Disney Springs

Sweet Treats: Chocolate and sweets can win anyone’s heart and Mom is no exception. Pick up a classic box of delectable chocolates from The Ganachery or Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop or take Mom for after-dinner dessert and coffee at Amorette’s Patisserie and enjoy a special “amore” cookie or any of their classic Disney-inspired treats. (Macaroons, eclairs and petit cakes make for the perfect dessert sharing experience!) Bringing the celebration home? Sprinkles is offering personalized mom boxes for pick-up or delivery. (Place your order here.)

Vintage amphicar ride on Lake Buena Vista at The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs

Entertainment: If you’re looking to gift Mom an experience, I’d suggest The VOID: Ralphs Break VR for a little family-fun competition or treat Mom to dinner and a movie at AMC Theatres. (I’m already thinking about seeing Avengers: Endgame for a second time!) Relaxation can be a treat in itself when you enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of Disney Springs from the sky in the Aerophile balloon or from the sea with a vintage amphicar ride on Lake Buena Vista at The BOATHOUSE.

How are you planning to celebrate Mother’s Day? If you’re planning to visit with just Mom or the entire family, I’d love to see your photos! Be sure to use the hashtag #DisneySprings on Twitter and Instagram.
