Disney has revealed the opening timeframe along with the name for the previously announced location, which is currently undergoing construction in World Showcase.

Takumi-Tei — which means “house of the artisan” — is inspired by Japan’s natural beauty. Disney shares that, “The design celebrates the relationship between Japanese craftsmanship and the natural world, while the food is inspired by the wonderful collaboration between nature and takumi, the artisan.”

Wagyu beef will be highlighted on the menu, and diners who are interested in the “ultimate experience” may enjoy a multi-course tasting menu featuring traditional tea service. Drinks will include signature cocktails, premium sake, wine, and craft beers.

The restaurant will be operated by Mitsukoshi USA, which currently runs the pavilion’s merchandise shops and kiosks, as well as the pavilion’s other table service restaurants, Teppan Edo and Tokyo Dining.

Advance Dining Reservations are not yet available, but with a summer opening slated, we will be on the lookout and keeping you posted!
