Disney4me
Phenomenal shopping and incredible dining, words synonymous with Disney Springs. However, this week it’s all about the delectable dining for members of the Disney Parks Moms Panel. From Signature dining to Quick Service, they are offering up some of their favorite picks when it comes to the many choices found at Disney Springs. “To our family, Disney Springs has become a ‘theme park for foodies,’ and picking a favorite dining spot is like choosing your favorite child,” laughs Eean. “However, my family loves to eat at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ because, well … you had me at Fried Chicken and Doughnuts! My kids are still talking about the “Bunch of Puppies” hushpuppies with the red pepper jelly. This is southern hospitality at its finest.” Looking for a great date night location? Jessica’s top pick is The BOATHOUSE. “My husband and I really love signature dining, and some of our current favorite signature restaurants can actually be found at Disney Springs. Recently we’ve been finding ourselves back at The BOATHOUSE over and over again,” she explains. “Everything is delicious here, but we can’t resist splitting the Original Lobster Bake for Two and the incredible Truffle Fries. With that spectacular food, a great glass of wine, and the beautiful sunset over the water, it’s the perfect Disney date night.” Looking for food on the go? Brandy B. believes you have not been to Disney Springs if you have not stopped by The Daily Poutine. “I must say, getting poutine just right is hard to do, but The Daily Poutine is as authentic as it gets!” she exclaims. “From the thick fries to the good squeaky cheese (yes, poutine cheese has to squeak!), they have it down pat. Be sure to check out their current menu specials.” For Kari, her go to Quick Service choice is Wolfgang Puck® Express at Disney Springs Marketplace! “The food is amazing, the service is exceptional, and the atmosphere is fabulous! Plus – as a bonus, Disney Dining Plans are accepted. My favorite menu items are the pizza and pasta items. I absolutely love the macaroni & cheese!” Ashley P. and Jason love the kid-friendly atmospheres found at T-REX and Rainforest Café® at Disney Springs Marketplace. “When the lightning booms and the rain falls at Rainforest Café, the animals begin to trumpet and hoot. Make sure to order the Volcano dessert and yell “VOLCANO!” when it erupts on your table,” recommends Jason. And let’s not forget snacks, whether to enjoy while exploring all there is to see at Disney Springs, or to take back to your resort for a late-night snack. “My family loves to stop by Goofy’s Candy Company,” explains Samantha. You can create your own Mickey-shaped Rice Krispie Treat. Simply fill out a paper to tell the Cast Members what type of toppings you would like, and you can watch them make it for you. My personal favorite? Peanut butter chips and milk chocolate drizzle on mine.” For more great tips on planning your next visit to Disney Springs or for general Disney vacation questions, visit DisneyParksMomsPanel.com for an answer from one of our panelists.
