Disney4me
Loaded Fries in Magic Kingdom? Sure, we’ve had our share of those… But Loaded Onion Rings? Loaded Onion Rings at Golden Oak Outpost Well, this is a new one for us! And they’re now available at Golden Oak Outpost in Frontierland. Currently, the menu simply reads “Loaded Onion Rings,” but you actually have two choices: Bacon and Cheese Onion Rings or Chili Cheese Onion Rings. Golden Oak Outpost Menu (Speaking of the menu, the new offering has taken the place of the previous Jalapeno Poppers and Fried Cauliflower at the Outpost.) Golden Oak Outpost Menu In both cases, the golden onion rings that make up the base are thick, hearty, and nice and crispy. Loaded Onion Rings And if you LOOOOOOVE plastic cheese the way we do, then we’re happy to say you can’t go wrong with either! GOBS of cheese sauce are poured atop both, but with an edge going to the Chili Cheese in our order. Chili Cheese Loaded Onion Rings But the Chili Cheese won over the Bacon and Cheese in two ways, since the chili here is rich with spice and flavor. That said, there is also an ample amount of bacon on the Bacon and Cheese Onion Rings, and we actually thought we’d prefer those upon learning about the options. Bacon and Cheese Loaded Onion Rings But the bacon bits simply aren’t that good compared to a regular cut, and lack much of a flavor punch. Overall, the Chili Cheese Onion Rings simply come together as a better dish. Chili Cheese Loaded Onion Rings And “dish” is the operative word, because both are so filling that each could make a meal in its own right, or a really fun shareable side item or snack. They’re always changing things up at the Outpost, so be sure to mosey on over next time you’re in Frontierland to see what’s up! Will you be trying the Loaded Onion Rings?
