Recommended Posts

It’s time to visit Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom to see What’s New! We spotted Tron Coaster tracks, noticed a couple of menu changes, and found the most 90s wallet you’ve ever seen. Come along!

Big DONUT news! And we do mean BIG! Remember this epic Mickey Celebration Donut?

Mickey Celebration Donut

It came out earlier this month, and we loved it immediately. (See our review here!) In fact, we loved it so much, we compared it to our OTHER favorite massive donut from Joffrey’s. And now, this giant Mickey Donut is snack credit eligible on Disney Dining Plan! At $8.99, that makes it a terrific value! It’s not noted on the sign at The Lunching Pad

…but it’s now also available at Cheshire Cafe, where it IS noted with the DDP symbol! We verbally confirmed with a cast member that it is, indeed, eligible at The Lunching Pad, too.

Cheshire Cafe now has the Mickey Celebration Donut!

Over at Aloha Isle, the Hei Hei Character Cone is gone from the menu, and cast members didn’t know when or if it would be back! See our post about this elusive bird here! The Lost Princess and Adventure Is Out There cones are still available at Storybook Treats and Auntie Gravity’s, respectively.

Skipper Canteen has introduced new cocktails. See them here!

The lamb entree at Skipper Canteen has also changed. It’s now called Trader Lamb (a play on Trader Sam!) and comes with roasted vegetables, brown butter tomato sauce, and ras el hanout oil.

What’s New in Magic Kingdom Merchandise

Not much new in merch at Magic Kingdom, but Harveys Designer Ears are still available in Uptown Jewelers. The bags, however, weren’t available. See our post here about the launch of this new line!

And the wallet we’ve all been waiting for, found in the Emporium. It’s… an Aladdin VHS Case wallet!

Not only is the cover art just… awesome, the back is, too! Anyone having serious flashbacks, or that’s just us?

Maybe the COOLEST part of this wallet is inside where it’s designed to look like… a VHS tape!

We also spotted this colorful quartet of Monsters, Inc., pins! We’ve got our eye on you, too, Wazowski!

What’s New in Magic Kingdom Construction

If you look at Tron from Goofy’s Barnstormer, you can get an even better view of the tracks (and the massive crane used to lower track pieces into place!).
