Disney4me
Disney World’s Coronado Springs Resort is in the midst of a huge transformation. Learn About:Three Bridges Bar & Grill Disney World Restaurants The Resort will welcome the new Gran Destino Tower on July 9th. The Tower will add 545 guest rooms (including 50 suites) to the Resort. It will also deliver rooftop dining with the upcoming Toledo — Tapas, Steak & Seafood restaurant and two lounges: Dahlia Lounge and Barcelona Lounge. But those aren’t the only changes to the Resort. In fact, our visit today is all about a brand new addition to the original section of Coronado Springs. And you’ll find it by strolling along any one of the new bridges that join three sections of the Resort on Lago Dorado. Welcome to the newly open Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago! Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago Atmosphere Three Bridges Bar & Grill brings over-the-water dining to Coronado Springs Resort. Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago Approaching the restaurant from any of the three bridges offers a view of an open-air spot with plenty of seating space to welcome you in… Three Bridges Bar & Grill Three Bridges Bar & Grill There is no shortage of seating from which to choose. You can belly right up at the bar. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Or you can opt for one of the many cozy chairs with low tables to stay and lounge awhile. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Three Bridges Bar & Grill Perhaps you’d enjoy a place by the fire? Three Bridges Bar & Grill Three Bridges Bar & Grill Of course, you could just choose your seat in order to focus solely on that waterfront view! Three Bridges Bar & Grill Three Bridges Bar & Grill The spot is reminiscent in several respects to Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, which offers similar seating styles and setup, along with views of the water. But there are differences to note. First, Geyser Point offers a counter service component, whereas Three Bridges Bar & Grill is all lounge-style. Three Bridges Bar & Grill And, of course, it features decorative elements that are well in keeping with Coronado Springs Resort. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Three Bridges Bar & Grill Three Bridges Bar & Grill You may even spy a glimpse or two of some good old Disney whimsy tucked right in! (“DuckTales! WOO-ooo!”) Three Bridges Bar & Grill Uncle Scrooge! Scrooge McDuck at Three Bridges Bar & Grill The setting is relaxed and fun… and even romantic. In short, it’s got it all. It’s even got… FOOD . Let’s dig in. Eats Bar drinks and Grill eats make up the menu at Three Bridges Bar & Grill! Because it’s a lounge-style setting, let’s do exactly what the menu suggests… Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago Menu .. and start with drinks! The Sangria Collection offers your choice of White, Red, or Rosé by the glass or pitcher. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu Specialty Cocktails include a Santa Maria Collins, Port de Colada, and the Gran Gin Tonic, which will also be a highlighted cocktail in the Gran Destino Tower’s Barcelona Lounge once it opens in July. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu Sherry Cobbler and Espumoso Punch You can peruse the Beer, Cider, and Hard Sparkling Water selections. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu And Wine is available by the glass or by the bottle. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu Spanish Specialty Coffee drinks are also available. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu Café Bombon and Barraquito Visiting on a cool night? You’re covered with some Hot Beverages. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu And there are also choices for those drinking “Zero Proof” (non-alcoholic)! A Berry Mint Smash and Prickly Pear Te Limonada go to show that thought and creativity has gone into the mocktails, too. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu And now for FOOD! Three Bridges Bar & Grill Spread The offerings start with Spreadable/Dippable/Shareable options including a Curry-Lentil Hummus served with Naan Bread and crackers and Szechuan Peppercorn Wings. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu Sandwich/Salads/Entrees feature Crispy Chicken Biscuit Sliders and Harissa Lamb Chops among the offerings. And you can finish with some Warm Churros or a Vanilla Custard Mickey Tart for Dessert. But we’ve only just begun… We started our meal with two of the Specialty Cocktails, taking suggestions from our server with the Sherry Cobbler and the Espumoso Punch. Sherry Cobbler and Espumoso Punch The Espumoso Punch is blended Fonseca Bin 27 Port with Combier Crème de Mure, lime, orange, and Freixenet Blac de Blacs Brut Cava… all garnished with fresh fruit. Espumoso Punch It’s served slightly frozen with the emphasis on the sparkling wine, but with a great burst of fruit flavors. The wine especially pairs well with the orange. It’s a great drink on its own… but it was slightly outshone by the Sherry Cobbler. Emilio Hidalgo Pedro Ximenez Sherry is mixed with sweet & sour and orange, and is also served with fresh fruit. Sherry Cobbler The sour and orange flavors mixing with the hint of raisin flavor from the sherry is simply terrific. The drink may appear too brown at first glance from what you’re expecting with the name, but it’s worth it. That said, it is quite sweet, making one plenty enough. But it’s a good one. Moving on to the Spreadable/Dippable/Shareable appetizers… Appetizers The signature appetizer of the house is the Warm Manchego and Oaxaca Cheese Dip served with house-made blue tortilla chips. Warm Manchego and Oaxaca Cheese Dip When served, it was all drizzled with fresh squeezed lime by our seriously awesome and knowledgeable server. (Thanks, Lauri!) Warm Manchego and Oaxaca Cheese Dip The highlight here are the hints of heat and smoke from the chorizo lending even more flavor to the cheese. You could seriously eat this whole thing with a spoon, and it deserves its signature status. The Fried Shrimp Corn Dogs come with Smoked Paprika Fries. They are served with a remoulade and a lemon aioli for dipping. Fried Shrimp Corn Dogs The Florida Sun Shrimp which make up the “dogs” are surrounded by thick, golden cornbread. Fried Shrimp Corn Dog The sweetness from the shrimp pairs well with the dipping sauces, and they’re for sure an awesome choice (one of the favorites from the night)! Fried Shrimp Corn Dogs From the Sandwiches/Salads/Entrees, you can probably already tell from their entry on the menu that the Harissa Lamb Chops are not your typical bar food. Harissa Lamb Chops They’re served with mint yogurt, cucumber and tomato relish, and pita. The chops have a beautiful char lending a crisp on the outside. Harissa Lamb Chops The meat is super tender and so nicely seasoned with a slight salt and pepper kick (though not spicy). Harissa Lamb Chops And it tastes terrific with the mix of harissa and cooling mint yogurt. The Grilled Skirt Steak is served atop a baguette with pepper relish and topped with a perfectly cooked egg. Classic! Grilled Skirt Steak Seriously. Perfect. Grilled Skirt Steak It’s also super tasty together with the sweet and spicy relish. Grilled Skirt Steak Oh, and the steak is good, too ! For Dessert, the Warm Churros here are not exactly like what you receive in a park. The whole batch is super light and fluffy, and not remotely greasy. Warm Churros They are also rolled in esplette pepper sugar for just a slightly different flavor. Warm Churros The one potential improvement here is that the chocolate sauce could be thicker. There is more to the Vanilla Custard Mickey Tart than the name implies. Mickey is served with compressed pineapple and a tropical sorbet. Vanilla Custard Mickey Tart The vanilla custard tart features a graham cracker crust, and when it comes together with the pineapple and the huge burst of lemon from the tropical sorbet, the flavors and textures really pop! Vanilla Custard Mickey Tart We enjoyed our desserts with two of the Spanish Specialty Coffee drinks. Desserts with Spanish Specialty Coffees The Café Bombon (a non-alcoholic drink) is espresso with the unexpected (but quite delicious, as it turns out) addition of sweetened condensed milk. Café Bombon The espresso and sweetened condensed milk also form the base of the Barraquito, which features Licor 43, foamed milk, and lemon zest as well. Barraquito It’s full of flavor yet not overpowering, with the espresso and liquor blending well together. It’s worth coming back for, and was a great way to end our first visit to Three Bridges Bar & Grill. Overall Okay, Three Bridges Bar & Grill is pretty darn great. Creative cocktails and tasty food in a simultaneously relaxing and fun setting — complete with a great view! — all add up to one heck of a winner for the newest dining option at Coronado Springs Resort… and it makes us even more excited for all that is still to come to the Resort this summer.
