Disney4me
Helloooooo from Epcot! Even though it’s just been a few days since our previous visit (we are EVERYWHERE), we still found new treats, new construction, and new merchandise on our most recent stop! If you can say one thing about Disney, it’s that they always keep things fun and interesting — never a dull moment! Welcome to Epcot! Let’s get started with our trip around the park! What’s New in Epcot’s Future World Right off the bat, we noticed something before we even entered the park! Parking Lot Construction As we’ve previously reported, the Main Entrance of Epcot is undergoing a huge transformation — including the tram lane! We snapped these photos from the SKY (aka the Monorail), and were able to get a good look at what’s going on! Parking Lot Construction As we headed into the park, we noted while the right side Leave a Legacy Monoliths are gone… Epcot Entrance …nothing has changed about the Left Side just yet. We predict we will see construction walls again soon as all of the monoliths are being moved to a location just outside of the park’s gateway! Epcot Entrance You can check out more photos of the Main Entrance Transformation here! Per usual, we had to check out the Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster construction, and snap some updated photos. Guardians of the Galaxy Construction Guardians of the Galaxy Construction Guardians of the Galaxy Construction The Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster is slated to open in 2021, in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration and WE. CAN. NOT. WAIT. We also scoped out the unnamed (for now) Space Restaurant near Mission: SPACE. Mission Space Restaurant Construction The restaurant is slated to open later this year, so they’ve still got a long way to go! Speaking of restaurant work, remember how Garden Grill looked like this? Foliage Outside Garden Grill Well, now it looks like THIS! Garden Grill We assume the trees were blocking some light maintenance work, and does’t she look purty all spruced up!? Rounding out the Future World construction, we noticed walls have gone up at the Splash Zone near Mission: SPACE. Future World Splash Zone Construction Sorry kids, no water play time for now! We aren’t sure how long the Splash Zone will be closed (hopefully not too long in these summer temps), but we will keep you posted as always! Future World Splash Zone Construction What’s New in Epcot’s World Showcase The first thing we noticed on our lap around the World is that part of the scaffolding in Mexico is gone at last! La Cantina de San Angel Previously at La Cantina de San Angel, the scaffolding continued along these waterfront columns. La Cantina de San Angel From what we can tell, it looks like it was a paint job to spruce up our favorite waterside spot to grab some nachos in World Showcase, and we look forward to getting the full waterside views back once the rest of the scaffolding is taken down.
