Gran Destino Tower We have a lot of exciting updates to cover, so let’s dive right in! What’s New at Coronado Springs Resort We started our day at Coronado Springs Resort, where we noticed its snazzy new entrance sign, sporting a cheerful turquoise color! Coronado Springs Entrance In Panchito’s Gifts and Sundries, we found a lot of new merchandise featuring the updated Coronado Springs color schemes and designs incorporating the Gran Destino Tower. The food court previously served personal sized pizza, but it is now served by the slice for $8.99. El Mercado del Coronado Pizza Station What’s New at Coronado Springs’ Laguna Bar Our next stop was Coronado Springs’ Laguna Bar! Laguna Bar The previously bright red menu has been replaced by a simple white menu, and it features plenty of tequila and Mezcal beverages! Updated Laguna Bar Menu Updated Laguna Bar Menu You’ll find seven different margaritas on the rocks and three frozen options (mango, lime, and wild strawberry), which you can order combined as a Fiesta Margarita if you’d like. Given the bar’s newfound emphasis on tequila, you can try a flight of Blanco, Reposado, and Anejo tequilas for $20. Laguna Bar If tequila is not your favorite, either try the rum-based Cancun Colada ($11.50) or head to the Siestas Pool Bar at the Dig Site Pool for a menu featuring drinks made with a wide variety of spirits. What’s New with the Gran Destino Tower Construction continues (and is almost complete!) on the Gran Destino Tower which will open on July 9, 2019. The outside walkway along Lago Dorado from the lobby to the right side of the resort is now closed off. Gran Destino Tower We saw multiple Cast Members using golf carts to take guests around the resort. Gran Destino Tower According to the Cast Member we spoke with, the Gran Destino Tower and main lobby area are primarily themed after Spain, but there will still be touches of Mexican and Western American theming as well. She also mentioned that from certain vantage points at the rooftop Dahlia Lounge, guests may able to see Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!
