Dreams Within Reach: Senses Spa Cast Member Conquers English Language Goals with Disney Aspire

Isabel Navarro, a Nail Technician at the Senses Spas at Walt Disney World Resort, knows that Disney guests love to share their Disney passion in fun and colorful ways, sometimes right down to their nails! Isabel spends her days creating nail designs that delight guests with true Disney style. Now, thanks to Disney Aspire, the 100 percent tuition-paid education program for eligible hourly cast members, she is living out her goal of growing her English language skillset! 

Isabel, a Chile native and professional nail technician with almost 20 years of experience, has spent the past five of those years finding joy by interacting with guests and putting her talents to work creating magical experiences. It was here, Isabel developed a desire to grow her English language skills to further connect with guests. With Disney Aspire, she found a way to make that possible and is putting her #DreamsWithinReach. 

It all started when Isabel saw a flyer about Disney Aspire. Not only does the program help cast members find graduate and professional degrees through a network of schools, but Disney Aspire also offers the opportunity to study English or Spanish through Rosetta Stone courses. A perfect opportunity to support Isabel’s goal! She signed up for a one-year advanced English course online through Rosetta Stone, and after a few months of studying for five hours each week, she says she can already see an improvement. 

“I have learned so many new words and I feel I can explain everything a lot better to my clients,” said Isabel. “That gives me a lot of confidence and makes me want to keep studying.” 

With her improved skillset, she’s setting her sights on her next goal of taking management classes to help prepare her as she applies for leadership roles one day. 

“I know other people who are working on their GED and even studying for college degrees,” said Isabel. “We are all benefiting from this program and that’s motivating us all to pursue our dreams.”

In 2018, Disney Aspire launched to help hourly cast members reach their educational goals by providing them with programs, coaching and job skills, all with the cost of tuition and books completely covered by Disney. Whether they’re studying vocational or professional skills, graduate degrees, or even language studies like Isabel, Disney Aspire gives eligible cast members the opportunity to enroll in a variety of programs to help them achieve their goals! And in exciting news, the ever-expanding network will include 25+ new program offerings across five schools beginning July 1!
